Why choose Sliding over hinged door wardrobes?
Generally hinged doors are not floor to ceiling, or even wall to wall, because they have plinths to hold the doors up off the floor and often they have large pelmets closing the gap from the 'standard' door height to the ceiling. All this is wasted space as Sliderobe doors start on your floor and reach your ceiling - so you get all that extra lovely space inside!
Similarly, hinged door wardrobes also have infills at each end of the wardrobe and sometimes in the middle too. This may be for a practical reason, to keep a hinge mechanism clear of the wall, or for a totally impractical reason like filling a void left by standard size doors. At Sliderobes, our doors can go absolutely wall to wall in almost all circumstances - so again, those valuable inches you loose inside your hinged door wardrobes becomes useful space inside a Sliderobe.
